Hi, I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes and I was given my meter (One Touch Ultra 2) yesterday. I have been instructed to check my blood sugar approx. 6 times per day. My problem is that my fingers already have little bruises all over them and they hurt badly! :( Am I doing something wrong or is it always this painful? I have the lancet device set on 1 which is the lowest setting. Any advice? Also, is it necessary to change the lancet after every use, or can I use it a few times before changing? Thanks for any advice!
